Job Description:

  • Mentor and guide student nurses during their clinical placements to ensure they gain practical and relevant clinical experience.

  • Ensure compliance with established clinical quality standards, fostering a culture of safety and best practices in all clinical settings.

The role of Driver is vital to the efficient functioning of our college. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the safe and timely transportation of students, staff, and visitors. This includes adherence to traffic and institutional regulations, maintenance of vehicle cleanliness and readiness, and supporting both routine and event-based transportation needs.

Job Description:

  • Safely operate college vehicles to transport students, staff, and visitors between locations including campuses, clinical sites, and event venues.
  • Ensure punctuality and professionalism in all transportation assignments, maintaining a courteous and helpful attitude.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and perform routine maintenance inspections to guarantee roadworthiness and cleanliness.
  • Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents immediately to appropriate college personnel.
  • Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and institutional transportation policies.
  • Assist passengers with boarding, luggage, and other transportation-related needs as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of travel logs, fuel consumption, and scheduled service appointments.
  • Support special events and institutional functions requiring coordinated transportation logistics.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Key Competencies:

  • Prior experience as a professional driver, preferably within an educational institution or similar environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and safety regulations.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with a demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact respectfully and helpfully with a diverse population of students, staff, and visitors.
  • Capability to handle emergency or unexpected situations calmly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • A valid driver’s license for the appropriate vehicle class, specifically for School Buses.
  • Clean driving record.
  • At least five (5) years of driving experience.
