We are currently hiring for the following role:

Purpose of the Role

The Merchandiser will act as a brand ambassador for Highlands Drinks Limited within designated retail channels. The individual will be responsible for executing merchandising strategies to ensure effective product visibility, availability, and sales within the assigned outlets. This role requires dedication to service, organization, and the ability to nurture strong customer relationships.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend all allocated appointments daily, without fail, to ensure service consistency.
  • Enforce First-In-First-Out (FIFO) and First-Expired-First-Out (FEFO) principles across all assigned retail outlets.
  • Ensure consistent product availability and maintain optimal product displays according to agreed planograms.
  • Accurately process customer orders and actively pursue the issuance of Local Purchase Orders (LPOs).
  • Improve On-Shelf Availability (OSA) by increasing facings and optimizing allocated shelf space for Highlands products.
  • Arrange and position Point of Sale Materials (POSM) to guarantee clear and visible shelf communication.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with outlet staff to facilitate regular order placements and ensure prompt deliveries.
  • Execute promotional campaigns and support marketing activations in designated outlets.
  • Participate in regular market surveys and provide timely feedback as needed.
  • Implement Joint Business Plans (JBP) and organize for extra product displays during promotional periods or as per business need.
  • Interact with various stakeholders—including retailers, consumers, and other customers—while maintaining the brand’s reputation and core values.
  • Submit comprehensive and timely reports when required. Reports should cover:
    • Competitor activity and analysis
    • Display quality and compliance
    • Sales and performance metrics
    • Stock levels and restocking needs
    • Price comparisons
    • Product listings (including new products)
    • Brand movement and consumer feedback
  • Ensure a minimum attendance rate of 90%, maximizing productivity on the ground.

Education and Experience Level

  • Certificate in Sales and Marketing or any other related business studies.
  • Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment.
  • Possession of a valid Food Handler’s Certificate is mandatory.
