The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of water and energy solutions in the region. The group is Kenyan based and operates through a network of Kenyan branches as well as regional subsidiaries in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, South Sudan, DRC and Zimbabwe. The company has a total complement of over 900 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region and seeks to fill the position of Digital Solutions Support Engineer at Nairobi Head office.
The successful candidate will report to the Group Digital Engineering Solutions Manager and be charged with the following responsibilities.
- Training & Support: Conduct hands-on training for internal teams and clients on digital solutions, ensuring comprehensive understanding and optimal utilization.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with sales teams to pursue and close leads, providing technical demonstrations and presentations.
- Deployment & Integration: Execute end-to-end deployment of software and hardware solutions, including:
- BMS, SCADA and IoT
- Power Monitoring and Control Systems
- Smart and Prepaid Metering Solutions
- Data Centre Infrastructure Solutions
- Technical Expertise: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, offering expert guidance on best practices and system optimization.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of deployments, configurations, and training sessions.
Qualifications and Experience: –
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in digital engineering support or a similar role.
- Strong technical acumen with hands-on experience in ICT Networking, Operational Technology deployments and Industrial Control Systems integrations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
