About the Department

The Office of Human Resources (OHR), under the DMSPC, supports the United Nations Secretariat in delivering effective HR policies and practices, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies, and fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and performance. Within OHR, the Legal Unit provides expert legal advice and services on all matters relating to administrative law, staff regulations and rules, dispute resolution, and other internal justice mechanisms.


Job Description – Legal Officer (P-3)

As a Legal Officer, you will play a central role in analyzing legal issues related to the administration and management of United Nations personnel. You will support the effective implementation of HR policy and the fair administration of justice in the internal system. This role involves extensive legal research, case analysis, drafting, and advisory responsibilities, often within tight deadlines and high-stakes environments.
