About the Department
The Growth Office is the strategic business team who will assist in driving and supporting the Firm’s ambition. The team’s lens that will be used to assess where we focus our time on, will be across three pillars namely:
- Clients & Industries;
- Executive Relationships; and
- Brand, Marketing and Communications.
Deloitte East Africa currently has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Growth Office Team as a Senior Manager – Clients & Industries. This position will be based in our Nairobi office in Kenya and will be supporting offices across the East Africa region.

Main purpose of the job
This dynamic role spearheads client portfolio management and industry aligned marketing across Deloitte East Africa, spanning Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, and Ethiopia. You’ll partner with the team to unlock growth opportunities, deliver exceptional client service, and build high-performing teams that consistently exceed expectations.
What you will do
- Develop and execute strategies for growth across key priority clients and industries, working closely with client teams and industry stakeholders.
- Lead strategic planning and account growth initiatives across the firm’s top client relationships, and ensure a coordinate market approach.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify new industry trends, client needs, and potential growth areas.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity, leveraging insights to gain a competitive edge.
- Manage return on investment in areas priority client and industry areas.
- Comprehensive business development strategies aligned with organizational goals and service offerings.
- Develop and deliver presentations and marketing materials that effectively communicate our value proposition and expertise.
- Lead the proposal development process on key bids, ensuring compelling and competitive bids that win client engagements.
- Align with the global voice of the client program for tracking client satisfaction in the local market and ensuring consistency across priority client experience.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of business development activities and adapt strategies as needed.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, participating in industry events and publications to enhance brand awareness.
- Manage and coach a team, providing mentorship and guidance to optimize individual and team performance.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Master’s Degree is an added advantage
- 6 years’ experience in the service industry.
- Experience in a professional services firm will be an added advantage.
- Be a Kenyan citizen or eligible to work in Kenya.
