1. Safety and Security Intern

Role Purpose
The Safety and Security Intern will play a crucial coordination support role under the guidance of the Operations Coordinator. This position is vital in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with internal safety procedures and protocols. The intern will support day-to-day security operations, track incidents, and help maintain communication systems used for safety monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of security policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure the safety and security of all staff and assets.
- Assist in conducting security assessments and follow-ups for both field and office locations.
- Help in updating and maintaining emergency contact lists and security documentation.
- Monitor the security environment through open-source information and prepare routine security updates.
- Provide logistical support during safety training sessions and security briefings for staff and visitors.
- Aid in tracking staff movements and provide timely security advisories as necessary.
- Assist in the maintenance and management of safety equipment and emergency communication devices.

The Finance Intern will support the Finance team in delivering timely and accurate financial services. This role is critical in ensuring that all payables and liabilities are processed efficiently within the Country Office. The intern will assist with daily financial transactions and contribute to the smooth running of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in processing payments, including verification of supporting documents and preparation of payment vouchers.
- Assist with the timely posting of transactions into the accounting system and maintaining up-to-date records.
- Help in the reconciliation of vendor accounts and bank statements.
- Support the filing and documentation of financial records in compliance with internal and donor requirements.
- Aid in the preparation of financial reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with the review of expense reports and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Participate in monthly closing procedures and support the finance team in year-end audits.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
- Help in tracking staff advances and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality when dealing with financial records and information.
