- Finance Intern
The Finance Intern will support the finance department in ensuring effective financial management, compliance, and reporting. This role is ideal for candidates looking to deepen their understanding of non-profit finance operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation and verification of payment vouchers and ensure appropriate documentation is attached.
- Support the finance team with bank reconciliations and petty cash management.
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, both electronic and paper-based.
- Help ensure timely financial reporting and compliance with donor requirements.
- Support the internal and external audit processes by organizing financial documentation.
- Participate in the monthly close process by assisting in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with program and support teams to provide timely financial support and guidance.
- Safety and Security Intern
The Safety and Security Intern will assist the safety and security department in implementing protocols and ensuring the safety of staff, assets, and operations. This role provides practical exposure to risk mitigation and crisis management in humanitarian settings.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support in conducting security assessments and updating risk mitigation plans.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the safety and security database and communication systems.
- Monitor news, media, and local networks to provide relevant updates affecting staff safety.
- Help coordinate staff trainings on safety procedures, including fire drills and first aid sessions.
- Participate in the development and dissemination of safety and security guidelines.
- Assist with travel coordination and clearance procedures for staff.
- Maintain incident reports and contribute to incident analysis.
- Liaise with logistics teams to ensure safety equipment and supplies are in place and operational.
- Human Resources and Administration Intern
The HR and Administration Intern will provide administrative and clerical support to the human resources and administration team, contributing to efficient operations and staff support services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support in updating staff records and maintaining the HR database.
- Assist in the recruitment process including scheduling interviews, preparing candidate documentation, and organizing onboarding sessions.
- Help in organizing staff welfare events and internal communication activities.
- Maintain administrative files, both hard and soft copies, and ensure confidentiality of personnel records.
- Provide logistical support for meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Assist in tracking staff leave and updating leave management systems.
- Support daily administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and managing office supplies.
- Work closely with the administration team to ensure office space is well maintained and organized.
