Program Coordinator, Central Banking Programs (Deputy Manager) – CBK – Institute of Monetary Studies
Roles and Responsibilities
1. In consultation with the Manager, organize and hold meetings with course facilitators to review, realign and customize course content and delivery strategies as appropriate for CBK Core departments.
2. Conduct Pre- Training Skills Audit for applicants, to meet the client’s expectations.
3. Identify lead trainer.
4. Market and announce scheduled courses.
5. Prepare course budget for approval by Head of Division.
6. Monitor course delivery and evaluate participants’ feedback.
7. Conduct post training initiatives of course evaluation, course report, maintenance of course records and process payments.
8. Conduct annual review of training calendar.
9. Research and review of ongoing courses and content in relation to emerging trends and contemporary issues in the financial sector.
10. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Head of Division / Management.
Head of Digital Payment Services (Deputy Director) – Banking and Payments Services
Strategic Responsibilities
1. Implement the National Payments Services (NPS) oversight framework by rolling out off-site as well as on-site oversight programs.
2. Implement a new integrated information management system to facilitate the electronic submission and processing of National Payments Services (NPS) returns.
3. Contribute as appropriate to the performance of National Payments Services (NPS) function and to the overall achievement of CBK’s strategic objectives by actively participating in the development, implementation, and execution of the Bank’s strategic plan.
4. Implement projects aimed at improving the implementation of CBK mandate for payments to ensure smooth, efficient, secure and effective national payment system.
5. Review and approve the development of oversight policy framework and oversight implementation tools, assessment of sector performance and induce change where necessary.
6. Provide leadership in the formulation of payment systems policy and spearhead innovation in line with the strategy of the bank, national and regional priorities.
7. Oversee the preparation of analytical information of the payment sector to determine the health of payment systems in Kenya.
8. Oversee and approve the authorization of payment service providers and approval of new innovative payments products to promote an all-inclusive, technologically driven national payment system.
Lead Plumber, Maintenance (Plumbing), (Senior Business Analyst 2) – General Services
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Participate in the development of maintenance plans for the bank’s plumbing and drainage systems.
2. Undertake maintenance of plumbing and drainage systems in the bank.
3. Assist in the preparation of specifications for plumbing and drainage works including the branches and currency centers.
4. Assist in the supervision of service providers.
5. Participate in evaluation of plumbing and drainage quotations and tenders.
6. Assist in the preparation of specifications for plumbing and drainage items and materials to be purchased.
7. Participate in Quotations and Tender Evaluation, Inspection and Acceptance Committees.
8. Any other duty that may be assigned.
Chief Librarian (Manager 2) – Research
Strategic Responsibilities
1. Responsible for providing high quality library services to staff in support of the Bank’s mandate and mission and be constantly innovating to the information needs of users.
2. To provide a world-class archive that should enable the Bank staff access the institutional memory from any of the workstations, as well as maintain a strong records management program to assure the capture and preservation of that memory.
3. Provide professional leadership in the modernization of the Bank libraries.
4. Custodian of all library information resources Bank wide.
5. Develop and deliver innovative library products and services to accommodate the changing information needs of the Bank.
6. Provide staff with policies, guidelines and tools to effectively manage access to information resources.
7. Assure the accessibility of the Bank history through the organisation and preservation of historical documentation, including developing cutting edge digital preservation methodologies.
Senior Manager, Policy and Data Analysis (Senior Manager) – Banking and Payments
Strategic Responsibilities
1. Work effectively as part of the middle management to deliver on the Key Result Areas and demonstrates competencies of his/her role.
2. Contribute as appropriate to the performance of National Payment Systems function and to the overall achievement of CBK’s strategic objectives.
3. Supervise the staff in the section to ensure the section delivers its mandate.
Director, CBK – Institute of Monetary Studies (Director)
Strategic Responsibilities
1. Provide overall leadership on the strategic plan formulation, implementation, organization, and the administration of the school.
2. Identify research priorities as part of the strategic vision for the school.
3. Promote links and maintain effective collaboration and partnerships with other institutions, policy makers, the banking sector, and other key stakeholders both local and international that are of mutual interest to the school.
4. To work towards attracting research grant incomes and other funding for the school through funding proposals and partnerships.
