Job Opportunity: Chief of Staff to CEO (Kenya)

Location: Nairobi Headquarters (with travel to other VF sites)

As the Chief of Staff to the CEO, you will be an essential member of our leadership team. This is not just another executive support role—it’s a strategic partnership with the CEO, designed for someone who thrives on driving change, executing strategy, and building operational excellence across an organization.

In this high-impact role, you’ll serve as the CEO’s right hand—streamlining key initiatives, facilitating interdepartmental coordination, driving strategic planning, and helping scale our operations effectively. You’ll be at the center of decision-making, offering critical insights and facilitating alignment across the business.


Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to prioritize and execute strategic business initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional projects that align with Victory Farms’ vision and ensure timely, effective delivery.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support major business decisions and evaluate associated risks and opportunities.

Operational Coordination & Follow-Up

  • Serve as the key liaison between the CEO and department heads to ensure seamless communication and accountability.
  • Track and report progress on high-priority organizational initiatives, addressing bottlenecks and proposing timely solutions.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of company-wide KPIs and recommend improvements based on performance data.

Project & Programme Management

  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional strategic projects requiring executive attention.
  • Monitor execution of strategic goals, ensuring projects align with organizational priorities and deliverables are met on schedule.

Meeting & Decision Support

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead executive meetings to ensure effective outcomes and clear follow-ups.
  • Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and operational analyses to aid strategic decision-making for the CEO and executive leadership.
  • Represent the CEO in selected strategic meetings, making informed decisions or escalating issues as necessary.

Performance & Efficiency Enhancement

  • Partner with department heads to identify and implement operational improvements that enhance team productivity.
  • Support the transition of strategic ideas into actionable plans, monitor execution, and assess outcomes.
  • Champion continuous improvement by introducing best practices and refining internal processes across departments.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership roles with exposure to diverse business functions such as operations, management consulting, finance, HR, or strategic planning.
  • Proven ability in project management, cross-functional collaboration, and executing strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adaptable, results-driven, and a natural problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
