1. Principal
Are you a strategic thinker with solid leadership credentials and a passion for education? KISWCD is seeking an experienced and visionary Principal to lead the institution into its next phase of growth and innovation.
Job Description:
The Principal will serve as the head of the institution, responsible for providing academic and administrative leadership. This position demands a forward-thinking professional with strong managerial capabilities and a firm understanding of the operations within a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the institution.
- Oversee the implementation of academic policies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage the daily operations of the college, including academic and non-academic functions.
- Develop and maintain a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
- Supervise and support faculty and administrative staff to ensure effective delivery of programs.
- Ensure prudent management of financial, physical, and human resources.
- Cultivate partnerships and collaborations with relevant stakeholders and industry partners.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment for students and staff.
- Represent the institution in external forums, building its profile and networks.
- Monitor institutional performance and provide regular reports to the board of governors.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technical Education, Sociology, Business, or Development Studies.
- A Diploma in Technical Education is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills.
- Strong business acumen and strategic planning capabilities.
- Must have a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the DCI.
- Over 5 years of experience in a TVET institution in a leadership capacity.
