Brief Description

The role holder will work with the Specialist – Internal Communication in developing and executing internal communication strategies. This role focuses on crafting and delivering engaging, clear, and timely messaging to employees, ensuring that organizational updates, goals, and initiatives are communicated effectively across all levels.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and distribute internal communications materials such as newsletters, intranet content, announcements, and emails.
  • Ensure that internal content is aligned with the organization’s tone, values, and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Internal Communications Lead to craft key messages that inform and inspire employees.
  • Assist in creating campaigns and initiatives that enhance employee engagement and foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Support the planning and execution of internal events, town halls and leadership messages.
  • Gather feedback from employees on communications effectiveness and suggest improvements.
  • Help maintain and update the intranet, ensuring that content is relevant, accurate, and accessible to all employees.
  • Support the implementation and use of digital platforms to enhance internal communications.
  • Assist in the development and rollout of internal campaigns, such as corporate social responsibility initiatives, health and wellness programs, or business transformation communications etc.
  • Track campaign performance, gather employee feedback, and provide insights to improve future initiatives.
  • Work with various departments (HR, IT, Marketing, etc.) to ensure key messages are communicated effectively to employees.
  • Assist the Internal Communications Lead in ensuring messages are adapted appropriately for different audiences, such as remote workers, field staff, and office employees.
  • Help ensure consistent communication that reflects company priorities and keeps all teams aligned.
  • Support the development and dissemination of internal crisis communications in times of change. Ensuring that messaging is clear, concise, and promptly delivered to all affected employees.
  • Monitor employee engagement levels with internal communications, gathering insights through surveys, feedback forms, or informal check-ins.
  • Provide the Internal Communications Lead with data on the effectiveness of communication strategies and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for senior management on the effectiveness of internal communication efforts.
  • Uphold the company code of conduct, policies and procedures, ensuring integrity and accountability in every aspect of your work.
  • All employees have a responsibility to adhere to safety, health, and wellbeing policies, guidelines and procedures in all actions and decisions.
     

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Communication or related field, 
  • 1+ years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or related roles.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience with internal communications.
