Department: County Executive

Job Description:

As the Deputy Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction in the implementation, coordination, and management of the County’s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework. The role requires oversight of all performance tracking processes across departments, ensuring timely reporting, policy guidance, and integration of M&E mechanisms to enhance transparency and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the county’s M&E systems, tools, and frameworks.
  • Develop and coordinate data collection systems to track project progress and impact.
  • Conduct evaluations of departmental performance and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare periodic M&E reports and present findings to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Train staff on M&E best practices and build internal capacity within departments.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on county development indicators.
  • Promote the integration of lessons learned into program planning and policy formulation.

2. Assistant Public Health Officers (Job Group CPSB 11)

Department: Department of Health Services

Job Description:

As an Assistant Public Health Officer, you will support public health initiatives across the county to promote hygiene, prevent disease, and ensure a healthy environment for all residents. This role involves working in communities, schools, public facilities, and healthcare institutions to implement public health standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the inspection of premises for public health risks including food handling outlets, residential units, and institutions.
  • Assist in implementing disease surveillance programs and respond to outbreaks when necessary.
  • Promote community awareness and education on sanitation, hygiene, and preventive health practices.
  • Participate in the enforcement of public health laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Conduct health campaigns in collaboration with other health personnel and stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing reports on public health compliance and outcomes.
