1. Librarian Assistant II
Job Purpose:
The Librarian Assistant II will be responsible for assisting in the organization, maintenance, and retrieval of information resources within the Commission’s information resource center. This position supports internal and external users in accessing legal, administrative, and governance-related materials to aid the Commission’s operations, research, and decision-making processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in cataloguing and classifying information materials using standard library management systems.
- Support in maintaining a well-organized, accessible library and information centre for Commission staff and other users.
- Handle routine inquiries and guide users in locating and utilizing library resources effectively.
- Manage circulation of library materials, including lending and return procedures, ensuring proper documentation and inventory tracking.
- Process new acquisitions, including labeling, indexing, and shelf arrangement in accordance with established systems.
- Assist in updating and maintaining digital repositories, databases, and online catalogues.
- Conduct periodic stock-taking and prepare reports on missing or damaged materials.
- Support the librarian in the development and implementation of knowledge management strategies.
- Monitor library usage patterns and prepare basic usage statistics and reports.
- Participate in the promotion of library services and awareness creation among staff to encourage resource utilization.
- Ensure the cleanliness, security, and preservation of library materials, including rare and sensitive documents.
- Provide administrative support in organizing seminars, workshops, and learning events that involve the use of library resources.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity when handling restricted or classified information.
- Assist with archiving institutional publications, documents, and records for long-term reference.

2. Driver I
Job Purpose:
The Driver I will be responsible for safely transporting staff, documents, and equipment as required by the Commission. The position entails ensuring that vehicles are properly maintained, roadworthy, and operated in accordance with the Commission’s transport policies and national road safety regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate assigned motor vehicles to transport Commission staff, visitors, mail, and other items to designated destinations as instructed.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean and presentable condition at all times.
- Conduct routine checks on assigned vehicles, including oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, and general mechanical condition before daily use.
- Report any mechanical malfunctions or required servicing to the Transport Officer or designated authority in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all vehicle movements, including mileage logs, fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and any incidents that occur while on duty.
- Adhere to traffic laws and Commission transport policies to ensure safety of passengers and goods.
- Support the delivery and pick-up of official mail and confidential documents between departments and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely renewal of vehicle licenses, inspection certificates, and insurance covers in coordination with the transport team.
- Maintain security and accountability for assigned vehicle keys, tools, and documentation.
- Assist with minor vehicle maintenance tasks where applicable, including changing flat tires, topping up fluids, and cleaning engine compartments.
- Keep track of fuel consumption, prepare monthly fuel usage reports, and ensure cost-effective route planning.
- Assist in lifting and loading materials or documents when required, and ensure safe delivery to the appropriate location.
- Stand by for emergency response transport services when requested, including after-hours duty where required.
- Report accidents promptly and follow laid down procedures for incident documentation and insurance claims processing.
- Provide professional and courteous service to all passengers, ensuring client satisfaction and positive representation of the Commission.
