Position: Field Sales Representative – Thika
As a Field Sales Representative, you will be at the heart of our growth story, responsible for delivering revenue and customer growth within Thika and its surrounding areas. This role is ideal for a self-driven and goal-oriented individual who thrives in the field and is passionate about sales and community impact.
Mission Statement for the Role
Deliver the overall revenue and customer growth targets within the specific defined geographical territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and actively engage with potential customers within your assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based customer relationships.
- Conduct consistent daily sales visits and build a comprehensive funnel of prospects.
- Represent Poa! Internet with professionalism and enthusiasm while educating customers about our offerings.
- Ensure 100% adherence to Poa!’s prescribed sales processes and standards.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets as set by management.
- Maintain operational excellence through full work attendance, accurate use of systems, and timely daily reporting.
Academic Qualifications Required
- Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Key Competencies for Success
- Demonstrated sales experience with a history of consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to handle objections and close deals effectively.
- High levels of self-motivation and resilience—a go-getter mindset is essential.
- Strong planning and organizational skills for effective lead forecasting and pipeline management.
- Experience in selling home internet services or working in informal/low-income communities is a plus.
Mandatory Criteria
- Minimum of 1 year of direct sales experience with proven responsibility for owning and meeting sales targets, preferably in a B2C (business-to-consumer) setting.

About the Territory: Thika and Its Environs
This role is focused on Thika, a rapidly growing urban hub within easy reach of Nairobi. Known for its industrious population and expanding infrastructure, Thika presents a high-potential market for home internet services. The successful candidate will need to be familiar with the local geography, community dynamics, and be capable of navigating and capitalizing on opportunities in both residential and informal settlement areas.
Team Structure and Support
You will be part of the Commercial Department, reporting directly to the Area Sales Manager. The team is composed of high-performing, field-based representatives who collaborate closely to support each other in achieving both personal and team targets.
