Tana Hiring Growth Associate

by Recal

At Tana, we believe talent is universal, but opportunity is not. That’s why we exist — to connect brilliant young professionals with meaningful careers, regardless of where they were born. We train ambitious individuals for top-tier tech and data roles and connect them with full-time, remote jobs at fast-growing companies across North America and Europe.

Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, we are a fast-scaling startup on a mission to redefine the global workforce. Our model isn’t just about jobs; it’s about sustainable career paths and global impact. If you’re passionate about innovation, career growth, and the transformative power of opportunity, Tana might be the place for you.

We’re Hiring: Growth Associate

We are looking for a Growth Associate to join our Nairobi-based team and play a pivotal role in supporting Tana’s cofounders across all facets of the sales process. This position is ideal for someone who is commercially sharp, detail-oriented, and thrives in a high-growth, fast-moving startup environment.

As a Growth Associate, you will work behind the scenes to supercharge our sales engine — preparing for key prospect calls, producing professional collateral, sourcing leads, and ensuring our CRM stays clean and actionable. Your work will directly influence Tana’s growth trajectory and client acquisition strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prospect Research & Call Preparation

  • Conduct in-depth research on potential clients and stakeholders ahead of prospect calls.
  • Prepare comprehensive briefing documents with relevant insights and customized talking points for each engagement.
  • Identify trends or unique selling points that align with Tana’s offerings.

2. Sales Collateral & Follow-Ups

  • Create external-facing materials such as client overview decks and custom-tailored emails following prospect conversations.
  • Ensure all documents are visually appealing, on-brand, and tailored to each client’s profile.

3. Lead Sourcing

  • Build and maintain lists of prospective leads based on our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Utilize digital tools, platforms, and databases to find relevant companies and decision-makers.
  • Segment and qualify leads for targeting and outreach.

4. CRM Management

  • Keep our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system up-to-date and accurate.
  • Log interactions, update prospect status, set follow-ups, and maintain clean data records for all leads.
  • Ensure every contact and deal in the pipeline is tracked and documented systematically.

5. Sales Operations & Process Optimization

  • Support the creation and maintenance of scalable sales workflows and templates.
  • Assist in the development of performance dashboards and sales tracking mechanisms.
  • Proactively look for ways to improve the efficiency and impact of our sales activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in strategy, consulting, venture capital, or commercial operations—especially in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft polished presentations using Google Slides or PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities, with the judgment to assess companies and individuals based on strategic alignment.
  • Familiarity with sales tools and CRM systems (experience with Pipedrive is a plus).
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with an ability to distill complex context into clear, professional correspondence.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; capable of managing multiple tasks, priorities, and timelines without sacrificing quality.
  • Comfortable in dynamic, growth-oriented environments—able to ask smart questions and take initiative when facing ambiguity.

Location

This is a hybrid role based in Nairobi, Kenya. You’ll have flexibility in working remotely, with some in-person collaboration when needed.
