Role Summary
The Senior Corporate Strategy Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of TDB Group’s strategic framework. The successful candidate will engage in deep market and operational analysis, offer strategic insights, and produce up-to-date reports aligned with the Group’s evolving priorities. This position is vital for ensuring that the Group leverages its capital and resources effectively to drive its mission of trade, development, and regional integration.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Senior Corporate Strategy Officer include, but are not limited to:
- Participating in the development and updates of the Group’s corporate strategy, strategic reviews, and preparation of strategic briefs.
- Collaborating with departments and units across the Group to ensure the alignment and implementation of strategic priorities.
- Conducting operational, market, and performance analyses to support data-driven decision-making across the Group.
- Providing in-depth macroeconomic analysis using data from credible global databases.
- Extracting, manipulating, and analyzing internal data to generate relevant insights and support operational strategies.
- Supporting Lean Six Sigma and other performance improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Preparing proposals, presentations, and research-based documents for internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing regular and ad-hoc reports that provide insight into developments across TDB Group markets and key sectors.
- Contributing to operational projects and other strategic initiatives within the Office of the Corporate Secretary.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of finance, investment, and corporate strategy.
- Experience in financial modelling and macroeconomic research.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- High-level problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong professional independence, high integrity, and the ability to deliver under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in French or Portuguese is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and facilitation skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural settings.
Professional Experience
- A minimum of 8 – 10 years of relevant experience in:
- Professional services firms,
- Development banking or commercial/investment banking,
- Cross-border commercial lending environments.
Educational Background
- A Master’s degree in Development Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Strategic Planning Professional, CFA, or Economic Development Finance Professional will be an added advantage.
