Introduction

Monthly Stipend:
- KES 25,000 for degree holders
- KES 15,000 for diploma holders

Requirements for Appointment
To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Graduated not earlier than 2020
- Hold one of the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education with specialization in ICT;
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Communication Technology (ICT) or equivalent from a recognized institution;
- A Diploma in ICT or ICT Integration in Education or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Additionally, candidates must demonstrate:
- Knowledge in areas such as:
- Networking and infrastructure
- Applications development
- Information security
- Project management
- Ability to integrate ICT with Education, particularly in e-learning and digital content development
- Skills in research and innovation to support the goals of the Digital Literacy Programme
- Willingness to be deployed to a Sub-County Education Office on a full-time basis
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Public Service Intern under the Digital Literacy Programme, the selected candidates will undertake a variety of tasks that contribute to the implementation and support of digital learning in schools. These include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting e-learning and digital content development aligned with school schemes of work
- Providing classroom support and training school teachers on the use of digital literacy devices
- Facilitating the implementation of the Digital Literacy Programme at the grassroots level
- Driving innovations to enhance digital learning and increase ICT adoption in schools
- Promoting the safe, secure, and ethical use of technology within the learning environment
- Assisting teachers with integration of ICT in the delivery of teaching, learning, and assessments
- Helping school staff develop key school policies and procedures, especially related to ICT
- Offering first-line technical support and basic maintenance of ICT services in schools
