Job Description:
As a Communications & Multimedia Intern, you will be part of the UNEP Communications Division. Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Section or assigned staff, you will contribute to UNEP’s digital storytelling and public outreach. Your tasks will include assisting with content creation and media production across a variety of platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the production and editing of multimedia content including video, graphics, photos, and animations for UNEP’s digital platforms and campaigns.
- Assist in developing engaging content for social media channels including Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Participate in planning and producing multimedia material for UNEP events, conferences, and public campaigns.
- Aid in maintaining digital asset management systems by organizing and archiving videos, photos, and graphic materials.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and editorial meetings to conceptualize new story ideas aligned with UNEP’s communication strategy.
- Monitor news and media trends relevant to environmental issues for integration into communication campaigns.
- Support live streaming or filming of in-house and external events, including setup and breakdown of equipment.
- Provide general support for multimedia tasks such as transcriptions, subtitling, metadata tagging, and publishing.
- Collaborate closely with communication officers, social media specialists, graphic designers, and video producers to ensure brand consistency and quality.
