We seek to recruit a qualified and experienced individual to join our dynamic team in the position of a Human Resource Manager. Responsible for the development and implementation of effective human resource policies, strategies, and procedures. This role will ensure compliance with employment laws and foster a productive, ethical, and supportive working environment.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Human Resource Manager will;
i) Advising Management on development and review of the organizational structure to maximize on organizational effectiveness.
ii) Develop and oversee implementation of staff performance management process, i.e. ensuring all staff have updated job descriptions and Key performance indicators, formulating reward management and remuneration policies and strategies that attract, retain and motivate employees to higher productivity.
iii) Coordinating staff establishment to ensure optimal recruitment, overseeing placement, contracting and retention of staff.
iv) Advising on the Company’s remuneration strategy and appropriate terms and conditions of employment in line with the requirement of Salary and Remuneration Commission.
v) Guiding the Company on relevant employment legislations, Company code of conduct and statutes relating to human resource and enforcing compliance of legislations to promote fairness and harmony in the Company and, coordinating disciplinary and appeals cases in the Company.
vi) Overseeing development and implementation of policies, strategies and guidelines relating to the organization, overseeing succession management, employee development and career management programmes to improve individual and corporate performance.
vii) Managing the implementation of risk mitigation measures related to HR and updating in the company Risk Register.
viii) Preparing Board papers and providing HR reports to the Finance and HR committee on a quarterly basis, implementing Board decisions and various government circulars relating to human resource in the Company.
ix) Preparing the Human Resource & Administration budget and accounting for the same and ensuring administration of company Medical scheme and coordinate welfare activities.
x) Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Academic Requirements, Relevant Experience, Skills and Competencies
The candidate must have;
i) Bachelor of science in Human Resource Manager, a Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
ii) Knowledge and relevant experience of not less that ten (10) years, with at least five (5) years at senior management level.
iii) Full member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and in good standing.
iv) Post graduate diploma in Human Resource HRM or CHRP Certification, Practicing Certificate from IHRM.
v) Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
vi) Personal attributes such as; Communication skills, Problem solving skills, Analytical skills, Critical thinking, Decision making skills, Entrepreneurial skills, Negotiation and mediation skills, Leadership skills, Interpersonal skills, Team player, Knowledge in office automation applications.
Successful candidates should Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter six of the constitution, and should present valid clearance certificate from KRA, HELB, EACC, Credit Reference Bureau and Kenya Police clearance.
