A project manager to oversee Human Resources (HR) projects, provide support and creates balance in the time and scope of executing projects, with solid track record in leading and supporting projects related to organizational structure review, organization development, recruitment and talent management, job evaluation and analysis, salary surveys, as well as leadership development, coaching, and training initiatives, under the direct supervision of Head of Division-Consultancy, we are looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join our dynamic team in the position of a Project Manager-in HR Functions.
Responsibilities
Project Management-HR
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables aligned with HR objectives (e.g talent acquisition, change management, Trainings, HRIS Implementation among others.
• Collaborate with HR experts and external partners to develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents e.g. project charter to ensure all stakeholders interests are addressed.
• Lead cross –functional HR project teams and HR experts e.g(recruiters, trainers, Legal and IT) by assigning task, monitor progress and resolve team conflicts.
• Estimate and manage budgets for HR projects initiative and ensure efficient use of resources and track expenditures.
• Facilitate smooth transitions for HR changes (e.g policy updates, system upgrades among others and develop communication and training plans to support adoption.
• Ensure project align with labor laws, data privacy and internal policies and maintain thorough documentation of project processes and outcome.
• Assist in sourcing project teams and subject matter experts.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to project team members and stakeholders to ensure that project delivery timelines and quality are met.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with Division Head and consultants to be signed off before project commencement.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents e.g. project charter to ensure all stakeholders interests are addressed.
• Execute and manage quality of project delivery while monitoring the key milestones as spelt in the project delivery plan.
• Provide project status reports to stakeholders on agreed time, indicating the budgetary, quality and timeline movements in the project.
• Draft and submit project budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Hand over the project to the client upon completion, while effectively closing all project contractual engagements i.e. administrative, budgetary, resources e.t.c
• Prepare project completion report, documenting lessons learnt from the project delivery and providing performance feedback to teams and directors.
Business Development
• Lead in identifying preparation and submission of project bids/tender/EOIs/Proposals in line with the company scope of business to ensure consistent business.
• Assist in building, developing and growing any business relationships vital to the success of the project being executed.
• Participate in networking and conferences that expose the business to various stakeholders in the businesses areas of interest.
• Assist to manage relationships with clients, consultant and stakeholders to maintain good rapport and alleviate constrained relations with important stakeholders.
• Assist in ensuring business brand is well positioned with both suppliers, sub – contractors and clients to enable further reference businesses.
Project Operation
• Ensure that all project required documentation are drafted, updated, and filed within the required timelines.
• Ensure the project legal compliance is kept up to speed in regard to contractual, statutory and labour related costs as far as project is concerned.
• Handle any project related disputes and conflicts with a view to protect stakeholder interests and consistency project delivery.
• Handle the purchasing and delivery of project required materials, tools and equipment to enable continuous delivery of project work.
• Manage resources for the site office to ensure smooth operations through procuring, managing and replenishing resources required for running the office administratively.
• Understand internal processes and work cordial with colleagues in the other divisions to ensure smooth workflow and meet desired outcomes.
• Lead and supervise project assistant by allocating roles, supervising, supporting, mentoring and monitoring and motivating them to ensure they achieve their role.
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of Consultancy from time to time.
Academic Qualifications/Work Experience/Skills
• Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, project management, business management or equivalent.
• Proficient qualification in PMP/ PMI and a member of IHRM will be an added advantage.
• Over 5 years’ experience with 3 Years relevant experience in project management.
• Evidence of having managed business units with turnover of over Ksh.20 million per annum.
• Strong skills in planning, monitoring and evaluations, leadership, communication, risk management, budgeting, problem solving, negotiation and team management.
• Ability to influence all levels of stakeholders, cross functionally and externally.
• Proven strong client focus and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with clients.
Successful candidates should Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter six of the constitution, and should present valid clearance certificate from KRA, HELB, EACC, Credit Reference Bureau and Kenya Police clearance.
