Position: Information Systems Security Administrator (ISSA)
Role Purpose:
The Information Systems Security Administrator (ISSA) will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the organization’s cybersecurity infrastructure. The ISSA will play a pivotal role in strengthening Jambojet’s cyber defense by ensuring that security threats are identified, addressed, and mitigated promptly and effectively. The role also demands strict compliance with various regulatory frameworks including ISO27001, PCI DSS, and relevant aviation cybersecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cybersecurity Operations Management
- Administer cybersecurity tools and technologies across the organization.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to real-time security alerts.
- Investigate security incidents and recommend remediation strategies.
- Implement endpoint detection and response tools (EDR), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and log management solutions.
- Incident Response & Risk Mitigation
- Lead incident response efforts in case of data breaches or system intrusions.
- Conduct post-incident analysis and develop reports and preventive measures.
- Work with internal IT teams and external partners to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain updated documentation and incident response procedures.
- Security Governance & Compliance
- Ensure continuous compliance with ISO27001, PCI DSS, and industry-specific regulations.
- Participate in risk assessments, internal audits, and compliance reviews.
- Maintain and improve the security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Liaise with auditors and regulators during cybersecurity reviews.
- Security Awareness & Training
- Conduct internal training to educate employees on security policies, phishing threats, and safe digital practices.
- Promote a cybersecurity culture within the organization.
- Technology Management & Infrastructure Support
- Provide technical expertise in deploying secure networks and managing access controls.
- Evaluate and recommend new security tools and improvements.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, antivirus solutions, and data loss prevention systems.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Develop detailed reports for management regarding threats, incidents, and system performance.
- Keep updated logs, system changes, and security configurations.
- Maintain dashboards and KPIs that highlight cyber maturity and areas of improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates:
- Proven expertise in cybersecurity infrastructure.
- At least 2+ years’ experience in incident response or related roles.
- Knowledge and/or certifications such as CEH, CISA, or equivalent.
- Experience working with ISO27001, PCI DSS, or other compliance frameworks.
- High-level analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
