The Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi is seeking a qualified candidate to fill one temporary contract position. The position is expected to commence on 21 July 2025 and conclude on 31 September 2025 (tentative dates).
Position Overview
The successful candidate will provide support across multiple areas, including:
- Consular, Political, Economic, International Organization, and Development Affairs
- Liaising with relevant counterpart agencies—both public and private—on bilateral and multilateral matters.
- Providing comprehensive administrative and logistical assistance to the Embassy’s diplomats. This includes:
- Drafting correspondence
- Event planning
- Travel arrangements
- Coordination and project support
- Meeting and appointment scheduling
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Embassy.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Between 22 and 35 years, in good health.
- Education: Holder of a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from a recognized institution.
- Residency Status: Kenyan citizen or a holder of a valid permanent residence permit that allows full-time employment in Kenya.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.
- Skills:
- Strong administrative and IT competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential
- Additional skills in website management and graphic design will be an advantage
- Personal Attributes:
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Able to meet deadlines and work under minimal supervision
- Demonstrates a service-oriented mindset, good interpersonal skills, flexibility, and teamwork spirit
