Introduction
Zizi Afrique Foundation (ZAF) is a not-for-profit organization committed to ensuring that children and youth, especially those furthest behind, gain the skills they need for learning, living, and working. ZAF works at the intersection of evidence, policy, and practice—leveraging research to influence Kenya’s public education system toward improved outcomes. The Foundation focuses on key areas including Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, Whole Child Development, Values and Life Skills, Parental Engagement, and Technical and Vocational Education.
As part of our commitment to staff well-being and workplace wellness, Zizi Afrique is seeking a qualified and energetic Aerobics and Zumba Facilitator to support a healthy, motivated, and high-performing team through engaging fitness sessions.
Scope of Work
The facilitator will be responsible for leading weekly fitness sessions that incorporate both Aerobics and Zumba techniques, suitable for all fitness levels. The aim is to create a positive and active atmosphere that improves employees’ physical health, morale, and overall productivity.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Facilitator will:
- Conduct structured Aerobics and Zumba sessions once per week, based on a mutually agreed schedule.
- Develop fitness routines tailored to accommodate varying participant fitness levels.
- Ensure all sessions are safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for all staff.
- Guide participants on proper exercise form to prevent injuries.
- Provide real-time motivation and support to encourage regular participation.
- Offer feedback and practical recommendations to enhance session impact and increase engagement.
Outputs and Deliverables
- A consistent series of weekly fitness sessions for a period of 3 months.
- Customized workout plans adjusted to the participants’ progress and needs.
- Monthly feedback reports or brief recommendations on:
- Attendance and participation trends.
- Opportunities to improve fitness outcomes.
- Suggestions for long-term wellness integration.
Duration & Timeline
This is a 3-month engagement beginning immediately after selection. Sessions will be held once a week at Zizi Afrique Foundation’s designated venue. Specific dates and times will be agreed upon with the successful facilitator.
Consultant Qualifications and Experience
To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a certification in Aerobics, Zumba, or a related fitness field.
- Have proven experience leading group fitness sessions (especially in professional or corporate environments).
- Demonstrate excellent communication and motivational skills.
- Possess knowledge of exercise safety, modifications, and injury prevention techniques.
