Applications Open : Learn Africa Canarias Programme

by OYK

With the support of the Directorate-General for Relations with Africa (Government of the Canary Islands), the Women for Africa Foundation is launching the fourth edition of the Learn Africa Canarias programme—an online training initiative aimed at female African university students and graduates, with the goal of strengthening their professional skills and employability.

Since its launch in 2020, Learn Africa Canarias has enabled 936 women from 44 African countries to enrol in one or more high-quality courses offered by academic and professional institutions in the Canary Islands, through the 1,280 scholarships granted to date.

This year’s call incorporates new topics such as Fundamentals of Innovative Entrepreneurship, expanding the range of specialised courses. The training programme, which will run from July to November 2025, also includes Spanish language courses and university-level courses designed by the Universities of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and La Laguna (ULL), their respective foundations (FULP and FGULL), and the Canary Islands Institute of Technology (ITC).

All courses will be delivered online. Places are limited, so only one application per person is allowed for each scholarship block: one for a specialised course and, additionally, one for a Spanish language course. Course applications will close as soon as all available places are filled.

Don’t miss the opportunity to expand your knowledge and move forward in your professional career!
