We are now looking for a Coffee Operations manager to be based in Nairobi, Kenya to manage day to day, the portfolio of sourcing regions and initiatives for positive socio-environmental impacts and support the supply of regenerative quality coffee to the business.

A day in the life of a Coffee Operations Manager:

(1). Sourcing and compliance

  • Ensure the compliance of the green coffee supply chains with the AAA shared commitment
  • Coordinate the implementation of the Human Rights due Diligence system with the coffee suppliers
  • Oversee the good execution of the supply chains financial and physical traceability

(2) Operational transformation

  • Develop and manage the operational master plan (OMP) for supply chains, focusing on field activities that support the AAA workforce (agronomists), and AAA farmers.
  • Lead pilot projects and global programs, ensuring alignment with the objectives of the AAA program.
  • Monitor project progress and provide insights to enhance strategic planning, ensuring that activities effectively contribute to overall goals.

What your experience should include

  • Min 5 years of professional experience
  • Degree or Master’s degree in agriculture, management, or equivalent
  • Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams and procurement / sourcing back-office experience
  • Relevant experience in the coffee industry
  • Quick learner with strong analytical and collective thinking skills.
  • Passion for and knowledge of coffee and sustainability
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skill with various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Excel for data analysis purposes.
