We are currently hiring Field Sales Representatives to join our Commercial Department and support our expansion along the Thika Road corridor. About the Role: Field Sales Representative – Thika Road
This role is tailored for ambitious individuals who are eager to make a tangible impact through sales. As a Field Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue and customer growth within your designated territory. You will represent the Poa! brand in the field, educating potential customers about our services, building long-lasting relationships, and ensuring that sales targets are consistently met and surpassed.
The ideal candidate should be dynamic, self-motivated, and equipped with solid interpersonal skills. A proven sales background, especially in a fast-paced, business-to-consumer (B2C) environment, is essential.
Assigned Area Coverage
Successful candidates will be deployed to work across one or more of the following clusters along and around Thika Road:
- Ruiru Zone: Kimbo, Wataalam, Matangi, Membley
- Ruaraka Zone: Allsops, Riverside, Kariobangi North & South, Huruma, Mathare
- Dandora Zone: Lucky Summer, Baba Dogo, Dandora
- Kahawa Zone: Githurai 44 & 45, Kasarani, Hunters, Mwiki, Redsoil, Seasons
- Zimmerman Zone: Marurui

Key Responsibilities
- Customer Acquisition and Engagement
- Identify potential clients through structured daily field visits.
- Actively promote and sell Poa! internet packages to households and small businesses within the assigned region.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to foster loyalty and referrals.
- Sales Execution and Reporting
- Conduct high-volume door-to-door sales in residential areas, marketplaces, and business hubs.
- Educate prospects and clients on Poa!’s service offerings, installation process, and value proposition.
- Strictly follow the prescribed sales process to ensure consistency and professionalism.
- Meet or exceed individual monthly sales targets, which will be reviewed and communicated periodically.
- Submit accurate and timely daily sales activity reports, capturing key customer data and interactions.
- Operational Excellence
- Demonstrate discipline and commitment through full attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain 100% compliance with the use of designated sales systems and tools provided by Poa!.
- Attend periodic performance reviews, training sessions, and team meetings.
- Brand Representation
- Uphold the values and ethos of Poa! Internet while engaging with the community.
- Present a professional and approachable image, maintaining high ethical standards in all interactions.
What We Are Looking For
Candidates applying for the Field Sales Representative role must demonstrate the following competencies:
- Sales Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of field sales experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly in B2C settings.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills in English and Swahili. Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms to a wide range of audiences.
- Negotiation and Objection Handling: Ability to confidently negotiate and overcome customer objections during sales engagements.
- Resilience and Drive: Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed. Ability to bounce back from setbacks and remain persistent.
- Territorial Knowledge: Familiarity with the assigned areas will be a distinct advantage.
- Customer-Centricity: A genuine interest in solving customer challenges and providing high-value solutions.
- Planning and Organization: Capable of managing time and resources efficiently. Ability to forecast and build a robust pipeline of leads.
Preferred Background
While not mandatory, candidates with the following attributes will have a competitive edge:
- Experience selling home internet services or working with underserved, low-income communities.
- Educational background in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or other related fields.
