About the LIFT NK Programme

The Livelihoods and Inclusion for Transformation (LIFT) Northern Kenya project is a newly awarded initiative by BOMA to implement a climate-adapted “green” version of our successful poverty graduation model—the Rural Entrepreneur Access Project (REAP). This project targets the forest ecosystems and dryland communities across Turkana, Marsabit, and Samburu counties, as well as the Kakuma and Kalobeyei refugee settlements, focusing on fostering sustainable livelihoods, especially among women, youth, and refugees.

BOMA is the lead implementing organization for the project, in collaboration with Danish Church Aid (DCA) and Smart Regional Consultants (SRC). Through REAP-LIFT, the program seeks to empower participants to launch green enterprises that promote environmental conservation, climate adaptation, and long-term income generation.
