The Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic has opened applications for the scholarship scheme for foreign students for the academic year 2025/2026.

The Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic has launched applications for the scholarship scheme within the national project Providing scholarships for talented domestic and foreign students for the purpose of their studies at universities in the Slovak Republic for the academic year 2025/2026.
The scholarship is intended for talented applicants from abroad who are interested in studying at a university based in Slovakia in a full-time form of study – in bachelor’s programs, programs combining bachelor’s and master’s studies, or in master’s programs.
The condition is that the programs belong to the areas defined in the Smart Specialization Strategy of the Slovak Republic (RIS3 SK 2021+) .
Students from all over the world can apply for the scholarship .
The successful applicant may receive a scholarship of up to 15,000 euros.
The scholarship is paid monthly during the first three academic years of bachelor’s or joint studies, or during two years of master’s studies. The monthly amount of the scholarship is 500 euros.
Applications can be submitted from June 24 to July 31, 2025 at 23:59 (CET) via the scholarship application portal .
The main selection criterion is successfully passing the SAT test with a minimum score of 1100 points.
The scholarship scheme is co-financed from the European Structural and Investment Funds and the state budget of the Slovak Republic.
