Below are the details of the available positions:
1. Medical Specialist (Anaesthesiologist) – Job Group Q (1 Post)
The Medical Specialist (Anaesthesiologist) will be responsible for the provision of anaesthesia services in hospitals and other health facilities within the county. The officer will provide critical support in pre-operative, operative, and post-operative patient care, ensuring the safe and effective administration of anaesthetic agents and pain management.
Key responsibilities:
- Administering anaesthesia before, during, and after surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures
- Monitoring patients’ vital signs and adjusting anaesthesia as required
- Working with surgical teams to develop perioperative care plans
- Managing post-operative pain and complications related to anaesthesia
- Participating in training and mentoring of medical staff
- Preparing and maintaining records on anaesthesia procedures and outcomes
2. Medical Officer – Job Group M (2 Posts)
Medical Officers will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases and injuries in both outpatient and inpatient departments across county health facilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting medical examinations and diagnosing diseases
- Prescribing treatment and managing patient care
- Carrying out minor surgical procedures
- Supervising medical and clinical staff
- Participating in community health outreach programs

3. Registered Clinical Officer – Emergency and Critical Care – Job Group K (5 Posts)
The officers will provide specialized clinical services focusing on emergency and critical care.
Key responsibilities:
- Assessing and managing emergency medical conditions
- Providing advanced life support and stabilization
- Administering emergency medications and interventions
- Monitoring patients in high dependency and critical care units
- Referring patients for further medical management when necessary
- Participating in emergency preparedness and response activities
4. Registered Nurse – Job Group H (2 Posts)
These officers will be assigned to general nursing duties in county health facilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing holistic nursing care to patients
- Administering medications and treatment as prescribed
- Observing and recording patients’ conditions
- Offering health education to patients and caregivers
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for patient care
- Participating in ward management and infection control procedures
5. Registered Nurse – Accident and Emergency Care – Job Group K (10 Posts)
This cadre will be deployed to the accident and emergency units across the county.
Key responsibilities:
- Responding to emergency cases and providing immediate nursing care
- Performing triage and prioritizing treatment based on severity
- Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to medical staff

6. Registered Nurse – Critical Care – Job Group K (10 Posts)

7. Medical Engineering Technologist – Job Group H (2 Posts)
These professionals will be in charge of installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment.

- Supporting integration of ICT in county service delivery

11. Information Communication Technology Officer (ICT) I – Job Group K (3 Posts)
This role will oversee planning and implementation of advanced ICT services within departments.
Key responsibilities:

- Ensuring compliance with ICT regulations and data protection standards
- Leading systems analysis, software development, and implementation
- Evaluating and optimizing ICT performance metrics
