1. Packing Clerk
Location: MRM Mariakani
Reporting to: Production Engineer
Job Purpose
The Packing Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all finished products are safely and efficiently packaged, labeled, and prepared for sales and dispatch. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that products meet quality standards and customer expectations upon delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately package finished products according to defined procedures and customer specifications.
- Label products with correct batch numbers, identification tags, or any additional information required for traceability.
- Perform inspections of packaged goods to verify compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Ensure correct quantity and type of product is packed in line with the dispatch schedule.
- Monitor the availability of packaging materials and report any shortages to the supervisor to avoid disruption.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the packaging area in line with company housekeeping standards.
- Record packaging activities, including quantities packed, material usage, and packaging time.
- Assist in organizing packed products for storage or immediate dispatch.
- Work closely with other departments such as quality control, production, and logistics to ensure smooth workflows.
- Report any packaging discrepancies or damages to the Production Engineer for immediate corrective action.
- Comply with all safety guidelines and participate in safety drills and programs.

2. Shearing Operator
Location: MRM Mariakani
Reporting to: Production Engineer
Job Purpose
The Shearing Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating the cut-to-length (CTL) line efficiently and safely. The position involves converting master coils into flat steel sheets of specified dimensions, ensuring both quality and quantity targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate the CTL machine according to production specifications and material types.
- Load master coils onto the line and monitor uncoiling, leveling, shearing, and stacking processes.
- Ensure sheet dimensions are accurate as per customer and internal requirements.
- Inspect and assess raw materials and finished products for defects, making adjustments as needed.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on shearing equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and downtime.
- Work collaboratively with quality control personnel to ensure output meets required standards.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and alert the maintenance team for complex problems.
- Follow established safety protocols and ensure that all safety devices and PPE are used at all times.

3. Crane Operator

The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and effective operation of overhead cranes to support the movement of heavy steel coils and related products. This role is critical in meeting production and dispatch requirements in a timely and secure manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position heavy coils or materials as per operational needs.
- Safely transport raw materials to production lines and finished goods to storage or dispatch zones.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections of the crane to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
- Accurately follow loading/unloading instructions to avoid damage to materials or equipment.
- Assist in proper stacking and placement of goods to optimize warehouse or production floor space.
- Communicate effectively with ground personnel using standard signals or radio communication devices.
- Report any mechanical faults or malfunctions promptly to the maintenance department.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and contribute to the promotion of a safety-first culture.

4. Slitting Line Operator

Reporting to: Production Engineer
Job Purpose
The Slitting Line Operator is responsible for operating the slitting machine to convert master coils into slit coils of various widths and sizes as required. The role requires close attention to safety, quality, and efficiency during the slitting and rewinding processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate the slitting line for different material types, widths, and thicknesses.
- Load master coils onto the decoiler and monitor their alignment throughout the slitting process.
- Adjust rotary knives and spacers to achieve precise cuts based on product specifications.
- Oversee the rewinding of slit coils, ensuring proper tension and alignment are maintained.
- Inspect slit coils for edge quality, burrs, and dimensional accuracy; address any inconsistencies promptly.
- Maintain equipment by conducting routine checks and coordinating with maintenance for servicing needs.
- Record production metrics including machine settings, output volumes, downtime, and defects.
- Minimize material wastage through efficient line operation and accurate cutting.
- Ensure coils are labeled correctly and stacked or moved to storage or dispatch areas as required.
