1. HR IT Lead

Reporting to: HR Simplification & Automation Lead

Role Overview:
The HR IT Lead will play a pivotal role in driving the simplification and automation of human resource processes and systems at M-PESA Africa. The role holder will collaborate with HR, IT, and cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class digital HR solutions that improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated HR systems and tools.
  • Act as the bridge between HR and IT teams, ensuring seamless communication and solution delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for automation across the HR value chain including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee records, performance management, learning, and offboarding.
  • Provide project management leadership for HR digital transformation initiatives, including planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, and change management.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage HR technology vendors and third-party service providers.
  • Ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with applicable data protection regulations and policies.
  • Monitor performance of HR systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvement strategies.

2. CoE Lead, Fintech Platforms

The Center of Excellence (CoE) Lead, Fintech Platforms, will be responsible for shaping the future of financial technology services at M-PESA Africa by leading platform design, architecture, and optimization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement fintech platform strategies aligned with business goals and customer needs.
  • Provide technical leadership and governance for all fintech platform components, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and business priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation across platforms to enhance scalability, performance, and agility.
  • Work closely with product teams to co-create solutions that deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Establish and manage platform KPIs and SLAs, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

3. Tribe Lead – Credit

The Tribe Lead – Credit will oversee the design, development, and implementation of credit products and services. This senior leadership position requires a strong grasp of digital lending, customer segmentation, risk management, and data-driven product development.

  • Lead the end-to-end credit tribe, including product managers, developers, analysts, and risk specialists.

4. M-PESA Africa Product Manager – Payment Remittance

The Product Manager for Payment Remittance plays a key role within the Agile Release Train (ART) at M-PESA Africa. This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of the product roadmap for one of the Payments Services pillars — Remittances. The candidate will bring strong product management capabilities, customer empathy, and commercial insight to drive product success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the remittance payment vertical.
  • Conduct market and customer research to uncover insights that inform product design and enhancements.
  • Work with design, technology, and commercial teams to build intuitive, reliable, and scalable remittance solutions.
  • Own the product lifecycle from ideation through to go-to-market execution and continuous optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to expand remittance corridors and enhance interoperability.
