Job Purpose:
The Associate BI and Data Developer plays a foundational role in the design, development, and optimization of Business Intelligence and data processing systems. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with a passion for transforming raw data into actionable insights through robust data modeling, ETL development, and dashboard creation. You’ll work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to develop scalable, automated data pipelines and compelling data visualizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in designing scalable data models to support analytics and self-service BI.
- Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of ETL pipelines that integrate data from relational and non-relational sources.
- Build and enhance interactive dashboards and visual reports using BI tools to communicate business performance metrics.
- Maintain data accuracy, governance standards, and data quality across all reporting artifacts.
- Support the automation of data workflows and reporting processes for near real-time insights.
- Monitor BI systems for performance issues and collaborate in optimizing SQL queries and data models.
- Document data workflows, models, and BI processes for knowledge sharing and support.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
- 0–2 years of experience in BI development, data engineering, or analytics (internship experience acceptable).
- BI & Visualization Tools: Power BI, Tableau, Looker, QlikView
- Data Processing & ETL: SQL, Python (pandas, pyodbc, SQLAlchemy), dbt (data build tool), Apache Airflow
- Databases: Oracle PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift
- Data Modeling: Star/Snowflake schemas, Kimball methodology
- Version Control: Git, GitHub/GitLab
- Cloud Platforms (Preferred): AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, Redshift), GCP (e.g., BigQuery), Azure Data Factory
- APIs & Integration (Bonus): REST APIs, JSON, Postman
