Reporting to the Senior Manager, Trustee Services, the role is responsible for providing Trustee Services for a designated portfolio of clients as per the laid down procedures and regulatory guidelines. The role holder will be responsible for sourcing, expanding and retaining existing client relationships so as to increase market share and profitability of the Trustee Services offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow the Bank’s market share in Trustee Services 
  • Ensure that the assigned financial and business growth targets are achieved.
  • Undertake compliance reviews for all schemes under management in line with the CMA Act and Regulations. 
  • Ensure all compliance matters identified from the compliance reviews are fully resolved.
  • Manage and ensure all risks associated with Trustee Services are mitigated.
  • Implement the Trustee Services strategy In line with the Bank’s strategy and policies.
  • Provide a service focused, knowledgeable and experienced point of contact for new and existing clients.
  • Attend Client meetings / AGMs and make presentations as appropriate. 
  • Convene all the quarterly Trustee Meetings and undertake compliance reviews. 
  • Ensure annual general meetings are convened as required.
  • Work closely with the client investment committees so as to bolster good working relationship.
  • Ensure that all the relevant returns are made to the regulators as stipulated by the CMA Act and Regulations.
  • Responsibility for resolution of audit matters for Trustee Services business
  • Undertake regular KYC / AML reviews for all clients under management 
  • Ensure billing and collection of revenue for trustee services rendered
  • Perform any other duties which may be assigned
  • Maintain high level integrity and ethical standards.

The Person

For the above position, the ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
  • Certification in the Capital Markets Program
  • Certification in the Trustee Development Program is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the Trustee Services sector, with at least 3 years in Relationship Management
  • Strong understanding of industry regulations governing trustee services
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High level of integrity and the courage to challenge actions where necessary
  • Strong persuasion, communication, and management skills
  • Effective organizational and risk management capabilities
  • A creative and proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop innovative solutions
