Position Title: Supply Chain Manager
Location: PCEA Kikuyu Hospital
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all activities related to procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution of medical and non-medical supplies. This role ensures that all supply chain processes are efficient, cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with the hospitals mission of delivering quality, affordable healthcare and training services guided by Christian values.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for timely and cost-effective sourcing of supplies and equipment.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, donor restrictions, and ethical standards.
- Oversee inventory levels, storage, and distribution of all supplies.
- Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and stockouts.
- Coordinate logistics, including customs clearance and internal distribution.
- Monitor supply chain expenditures and prepare budgets.
- Ensure compliance with WHO, MOH, and donor standards.
- Maintain records and support audits.
- Supervise and train supply chain staff.
- Collaborate with teams to forecast demand and align supply chain strategies
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field.
- Masters degree in related filed.
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare or faith-based institution.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare procurement regulations and donor compliance.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager at PKH is responsible for overseeing the procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services. This role ensures cost efficiency, quality control, and compliance with donor and regulatory requirements while supporting the hospitals mission of providing quality, affordable healthcare and training services driven by Christian values. Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of medical supplies, drugs, and equipment.
- Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with donor restrictions, ethical sourcing, and hospital procurement policies
Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Oversee stock levels, storage conditions, and distribution of medical and non-medical supplies.
- Implement inventory control systems (e.g., FIFO, Just-in-Time) to minimize waste and stockouts.
- Conduct regular audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Logistics & Distribution
- Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics, including customs clearance for imported supplies.
- Ensure efficient internal distribution of supplies to departments while minimizing delays.
- Manage hospital fleet and transportation for supply chain operations.
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Monitor supply chain expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and manage the supply chain budget in alignment with hospital strategic goals. 5. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (WHO, MOH, donor requirements).
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on procurement, inventory, and expeditures
- Support audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and train supply chain staff (procurement officers, storekeepers, logistics personnel).
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to forecast demand and align supply chain processes.
