Position 1: E-Learning Instructional Specialist

Job Purpose
The E-Learning Instructional Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end instructional design process for online learning. This includes supporting faculty in the creation, delivery, and evaluation of e-learning courses and ensuring that the content meets the quality standards set by the institution. The specialist will also support students and staff in their use of online learning technologies and ensure that ANU’s online programs remain current, engaging, and pedagogically sound.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and assess instructional design projects and e-learning technologies to enhance the quality of online education.
- Provide training and orientation for students undertaking online courses, ensuring they are well-prepared to engage with digital learning platforms.
- Collaborate closely with faculty in the design, development, and evaluation of digital course content, ensuring pedagogical effectiveness and interactivity.
- Provide continuous support to faculty on the use of digital tools and platforms to foster engaging virtual learning environments.
- Monitor the quality of online offerings and ensure that they adhere to the university’s instructional design models and standards.
- Present and recommend effective course design strategies and technologies to improve instruction delivery.
- Review online courses to ensure alignment with educational standards prior to publishing for student access.
- Coordinate communication related to the availability and updates of e-learning content, programs, and tools for faculty and students.
- Facilitate the development of new online courses, guiding the instructional design process to ensure efficient execution.
- Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of instructional design workflows.
- Liaise with internal and external instructional design support teams to ensure faculty and students receive continuous assistance.
- Participate in professional development initiatives to stay current with evolving trends in e-learning and education technology.
Academic and Professional Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Education, Education Technology, or a closely related field.
- Master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related area will be an added advantage.
- Certification and demonstrated proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and e-learning authoring tools.
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in a higher education institution as an instructional designer, e-learning developer, or course content designer.
- Experience supporting faculty in the design and assessment of instructional content at the university level.
Personal Attributes and Competencies
- Practical and technical proficiency in online learning technologies, including learning management systems and interactive tools.
- Sound understanding of pedagogical principles and instructional strategies for online education.
- Creativity and problem-solving abilities in resolving e-learning challenges.
- Working knowledge of generative AI tools and instructional technology standards.

Position 2: Accounts Assistant

Job Purpose
The Accounts Assistant will play a crucial role in managing student financial records and transactions. The successful candidate will be tasked with billing, invoicing, account reconciliation, and supporting overall financial operations in line with the university’s financial policies and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate invoices and billing statements for students in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile student accounts, ensuring any discrepancies are promptly addressed.
- Post bursary allocations and Constituency Development Fund (CDF) payments into the system.
- Accurately process students’ scholarships and discounts, ensuring correct posting and records.
- Post all student receipts and payment records into the accounting system.
- Communicate financial information and updates to students through official circulars and memos.
- Provide support in the management of restricted funds and donations as per university guidelines.
- Ensure that all financial aid allocations are posted and assigned to student accounts on time.
- Receive and process student payments when required at the finance office.
- Maintain a proper, secure, and organized filing system for financial records and documents.
- Maintain and update the list of university debtors, following up on outstanding balances.
- Periodically reconcile receipts and payment records for accuracy.
- Prepare and submit student financial reports as required and respond to financial inquiries.
- Perform any other finance-related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Academic and Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution.
- At least CPA Part II or equivalent professional accounting qualifications in progress.
- Minimum of one (1) year relevant working experience in an accounting role, preferably within an academic institution.
Personal Attributes and Competencies

- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
