Position Overview

The Social Media and Press Officer will play a central role in ensuring that the Embassy’s communications are impactful, timely, and aligned with its diplomatic priorities. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Communication and Promotion of the Embassy’s Activities

  2. Implementation of Communication Strategies and Activities

    As the community manager, you will be responsible for updating content, ensuring high engagement, responding to public inquiries, and growing the Embassy’s online visibility across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram, and the official website.
  7. Preparation of Written Press Statements
    Drafting clear, informative, and timely press releases and official statements for distribution to media houses and other partners will be part of your weekly duties. These statements are essential tools for external communication and public diplomacy.
  8. Serving as the Point of Contact for Journalists
    The officer will handle press inquiries, arrange interviews, coordinate media attendance for Embassy events, and maintain a robust directory of media professionals and influencers.
  9. Coordination of the Ambassador’s Visits and Social Events in Terms of Communication
    You will support the planning and media coverage of ambassadorial visits, official receptions, and public engagements by managing communications logistics and post-event publicity.
