Purpose of the Role
The Sales Executive will be a key driver of Simba Corporation’s growth within the agribusiness sector. This role is designed to deliver high performance by aggressively pursuing new sales opportunities, strengthening relationships with existing clients, and executing customer retention strategies. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills while upholding the company’s values and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting and Lead Generation
- Identify and target potential customers through cold calls, referrals, social media, and networking.
- Conduct on-site visits and meetings with prospects to understand their needs and offer tailored agribusiness solutions.
- Convert leads into sales through persuasive communication and strategic selling techniques.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with both new and repeat clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring clients receive consistent support and timely responses to inquiries.
- Foster loyalty by delivering exceptional customer experiences and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Sales Target Achievement
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by the management.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to boost sales performance and grow the market share.
- Monitor progress against targets and adjust tactics to improve outcomes when necessary.
- Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with internal departments including logistics, finance, and customer service to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
- Communicate customer feedback and emerging market needs to relevant teams to improve service offerings.
- CRM and Database Management
- Keep a well-maintained and updated record of all clients, interactions, and sales activities using the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Track leads and follow up consistently to enhance conversion rates.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, client feedback, and market trends for review by management.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis
- Continuously monitor local market trends and developments in the agribusiness sector.
- Conduct shop visits and customer calls to gather competitor intelligence.
- Recommend changes in products, services, and pricing based on market insights.
- Product Knowledge and Presentation
- Possess a deep understanding of the company’s agribusiness products and services.
- Confidently communicate product features, pricing structures, availability, and leasing options to customers.
- Educate customers on how Simba’s offerings can meet their operational and business needs.
- Sales Administration and Documentation
- Ensure all sales documentation is accurately completed and in compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely stock availability, order processing, and after-sales support.
- Manage the preparation of necessary agreements, delivery notes, and invoicing in accordance with regulations.
- Stock and Inventory Oversight
- Monitor the readiness and availability of products for sale and demonstration purposes.
- Coordinate vehicle or equipment servicing as needed to maintain top condition before delivery.
- Participate in pre-delivery inspections to uphold quality assurance standards.
- Marketing Support
- Support promotional campaigns and sales events in collaboration with the marketing department.
- Contribute ideas for marketing materials and sales content aimed at increasing brand visibility.
- Adhere to the organization’s code of conduct, ensuring all activities reflect the ethical values of Simba Corporation.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the agribusiness or automotive sectors.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively for fieldwork.
