The Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) is pleased to announce its industrial attachment programme for the period covering September to November 2025. KBC, established under the KBC Act (Cap. 221), is a State Corporation operating under the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy. With a core mission to inform, educate, and entertain, KBC plays a pivotal role in shaping public discourse and promoting cultural development through its Radio, Television, and Digital Media platforms.

As part of the Government’s Youth Empowerment Project, the Corporation is committed to nurturing a new generation of professionals by providing attachment placements that expose learners to real-world experiences aligned with their academic disciplines. This programme contributes toward creating a pipeline of work-ready graduates equipped to support Kenya’s dynamic labour market.

Overview of the Industrial Attachment Programme

The KBC Industrial Attachment Programme is a highly practical and experiential training initiative targeting undergraduate, diploma, and certificate-level students who are in the advanced stages of their academic training. It offers an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge, acquire new skills, and build professional networks.

The programme will run from 1st September 2025 to 30th November 2025, and selected students will be assigned to different departments based on their academic backgrounds, interests, and the Corporation’s needs.

This is a non-renewable three-month engagement designed to help students:

  • Apply academic knowledge in a professional work setting.
  • Gain industry-specific experience aligned with broadcasting and media operations.
  • Understand and adapt to professional workplace ethics and culture.
  • Acquire hands-on experience in their field of study.

Eligibility Criteria and Selection Guidelines

To ensure a fair and effective selection process, applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  1. Field of Specialization and Relevance of Course
The proposed attachment placement must align with the student’s area of study. KBC will match students to departments where their skills and knowledge can be meaningfully applied.
