The French Embassy in Kenya is recruiting an executive secretary for the Cooperation and Cultural Action Service (SCAC)
The secretary’s main tasks are: Managing the agenda of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Advisor / and contacts of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Service (SCAC)
Supporting the logistical organization of travel, missions and visits for the service team Assistance
in preparing service meetings and their follow-up (monitoring and implementation of decisions)
Monitoring correspondence, distribution & follow-up of orders
Physical and telephone reception
Processing and follow-up of ad hoc files, including preparation of grant agreements/decisions, as well as service provision agreements
Drafting verbal notes, internal notes and reports
Relations with entities attached to the cultural service (French high schools, Alliances françaises, French research institutes)
Supporting the organization of events
Preparation and follow-up of requests for intervention on visas
Archive management
Profile Five years of experience in a similar position and/or in the fields of cultural, linguistic or scientific cooperation
Very good command of French and English (imperative)
Good analytical and writing skills
Proficiency in office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, in particular)
Team spirit, listening and communication skills
Ability to adapt, anticipate and take initiative
Sense of organization & rigor
Knowledge of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs would be a plus
Conditions Starting date: September 1, 2025;
Fixed-term contract (1 year), then possibility of extension, or even permanent contract,
Gross monthly salary: 310,830 KES
Working hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
