The Kenya Country Commercial Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all commercial operations in the country. This includes driving the country’s commercial strategy, sales and marketing plans, customer relationship management, and business development initiatives. The manager will report to the Managing Director and collaborate with the regional commercial team to align country goals with global priorities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with regional and global objectives.
  • Lead the formulation of sales, marketing, and pricing strategies to drive growth, customer retention, and profitability.
  • Monitor market trends and competitors’ activities to inform tactical and strategic decisions.
  • Oversee the development and execution of country-specific go-to-market plans and product positioning.

2. Sales & Business Development

  • Direct and manage the national sales organization to achieve revenue, volume, and market share targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships that support long-term growth.
  • Champion the acquisition of key accounts and manage high-value client relationships.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of robust customer segmentation and targeting strategies.

3. Customer Experience & Retention

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Ensure compliance with DHL’s internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

7. Brand Positioning and Marketing
