The organization is currently hiring for the following positions:
1. Retail Manager
The Retail Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the supermarket, ensuring optimal performance across departments, and upholding the store’s standards in terms of customer service, product availability, and employee performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day store operations, including sales, staffing, stock control, and customer service
- Develop and implement strategies to improve store profitability and operational efficiency
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Monitor inventory levels, order new stock, and liaise with suppliers
- Train, supervise, and evaluate staff members to maintain high performance and motivation
- Address customer complaints and feedback effectively and professionally
- Prepare sales reports, budgets, and performance forecasts for management review
- Oversee safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health regulations within the store
2. Cashiers
Cashiers are essential frontline staff responsible for ensuring smooth and accurate transaction processing. They represent the final customer touchpoint and are expected to provide courteous and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cash registers, process sales transactions, and issue receipts accurately
- Ensure correct pricing and scanning of items
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and mobile money transactions
- Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift
- Assist customers with inquiries or issues related to payments or products
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the checkout area
- Monitor and report any discrepancies or suspicious transactions
- Follow all safety, security, and company cash-handling procedures
3. Shelf Attendants
Shelf Attendants will play a key role in maintaining the store’s presentation and product availability by ensuring that shelves are stocked, neat, and orderly at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Replenish shelves with products as needed, ensuring correct placement and labeling
- Rotate stock and monitor expiration dates to prevent waste and maintain quality
- Assist in receiving deliveries and organizing store inventory
- Ensure that the sales floor is clean, organized, and presentable at all times
- Provide product information and assistance to customers
- Identify low stock levels and notify supervisors for reordering
- Remove damaged or expired items from display
- Follow safety and hygiene standards during stocking and handling
4. Supervisors
Supervisors will support the Retail Manager by overseeing specific departments or functions within the store, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and assisting in team coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise shelf attendants, cashiers, and cleaners to ensure effective task execution
- Monitor staff attendance, performance, and adherence to operational procedures
- Support staff training and conduct briefings on store policies and customer service expectations
- Address and resolve minor customer complaints and escalate complex issues as necessary
- Ensure cleanliness, stock availability, and merchandising in assigned departments
- Assist in conducting inventory checks and audits
- Generate daily activity reports and update the Retail Manager
- Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards in designated areas
5. Cleaners
Cleaners will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the supermarket premises to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, and clean floors throughout the store, including aisles, entrances, and staff areas
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies
- Clean restrooms, windows, and other surfaces regularly
- Sanitize frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, trolleys, and counters
- Refill hygiene supplies such as soap, sanitizer, and toilet paper
- Identify maintenance or cleaning issues and report them promptly
- Assist during store opening and closing with general cleaning duties
- Follow cleaning schedules and safety protocols
