Position Title: Manager Scouting Development
Location: The Kenya Scouts Association HQ
Reporting To: National Executive Commissioner

The Kenya Scouts Association is an educational Movement for young people, which provides non-formal education that complements the core-curriculum offered in our educational institutions. Founded in 1910 and registered under an Act of Parliament Cap 219, KSA is a dynamic, inclusive, and impactful organization that nurtures young people into responsible, disciplined, and service-oriented citizens.
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager Scouting Development to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating youth program and Adult in scouting function in the Association.
- Coordinating curriculum development for both Scouts and Adults in Scouting.
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation on youth program implementation and its impact.
- Build strategic partnerships with organizations focused on youth development agendas.
- Collaborate with local and international partners to enhance scouting visibility in Kenya.
- Establish clear policies and standards to streamline the management of youth program and Adult in scouting training.
- Integrate digital platforms to expand the efficiency and access to scouting programs.
- Support fundraising efforts to promote scouting sustainability.
- Prepare detailed reports on program implementation and impact for KSA leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least five (5) years of related working experience, including three (3) years in a managerial role within the education sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Community Development, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Master’s degree any social science from a recognized institution.
- Scouting background with a minimum Wood Badge qualification; ALT or LT training is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated managerial, administrative, and professional competence in work performance.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Data and program management tools.
- Proof of proficiency in project management tools or methodologies and experience in partnership building with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with communities and partners.
