1. Early Post-Doctoral Mathematics Modeller – Kilifi (Contract – 1 Position)
Job Purpose: Conduct advanced mathematical modelling research to support public health decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement mathematical models to address public health research questions.
- Analyse data and generate insights to guide research interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams to interpret results and produce scientific publications.
- Present findings to stakeholders and contribute to capacity building in modelling techniques.
2. PhD Studentship – KEMRI CGHR Kisumu (Internship – 1 Position)
Job Purpose: Undertake doctoral-level research within KEMRI’s public health research programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature reviews and develop research methodologies under supervision.
- Collect and analyse research data to support thesis requirements.
- Participate in academic discussions, workshops, and seminars.
- Prepare reports, manuscripts, and presentations based on research findings.
3. Community Tracker – Kisumu (Contract – 6 Positions, Job Grade KMR 07)
Job Purpose: Support research projects through community engagement and participant follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, trace, and maintain contact with research participants.
- Collect field data in line with project protocols.
- Work closely with community leaders and stakeholders to facilitate study activities.
- Maintain accurate participant records and ensure timely reporting of field activities.
