The Secretary to the County Public Service Board serves as the Chief Executive Officer and the accounting officer of the Board. The position is responsible for implementing Board resolutions, overseeing the day-to-day management of Board affairs, and ensuring operational efficiency in delivering on the CPSB’s mandate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the County Public Service Board.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the Board in policy formulation, planning, and execution.
  • Ensure timely implementation of Board decisions, directives, and strategic plans.
  • Manage the daily operations of the Board’s Secretariat, including human resources, finance, and administration.

  • Contribute to the formulation, implementation, and review of policies for County human resource development.
  • Oversee and participate in the recruitment, appointment, promotion, and disciplinary control of County public service employees.

  • Participate in evaluating the performance of County public service staff and recommending training and development interventions.
  • Contribute to the Board’s strategic planning and performance monitoring.
