Job Description
To provide operational support to the Team Leader and Manager Treasury Operations, focusing on transaction execution and operational risk management within the Treasury back-office unit supporting Kenya and South Sudan. The role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely settlement of financial market transactions, strict adherence to regulatory and internal controls, and efficient process execution.
The position involves managing exception item reconciliations, executing deal confirmations with precision, maintaining comprehensive documentation for audit and compliance, and overseeing timely regulatory reporting in alignment with statutory and internal requirements.

1. Strong Understanding of Financial Instruments and Settlement Processes
Must have solid knowledge of interbank settlements, including FX, forwards, swaps, and Intraday Liquidity Facility (ILF).
Familiarity with securities markets and derivatives is essential to ensure accurate transaction handling and risk mitigation.
2. Basic Accounting Proficiency
A foundational grasp of accounting principles is critical for reconciling transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting financial reporting and compliance functions.
3. Exceptional Teamwork and Stakeholder Engagement Skills
The ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams is mandatory.
Must be mature, approachable, and effective in engaging with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operational execution and issue resolution.
