The Laikipia County Public Service Board invites applications from qualified and competent individuals to fill the following vacant positions across various departments. This recruitment seeks to strengthen service delivery in the county by bringing on board skilled professionals in legal, administrative, technical, and operational roles.

1. Assistant Director Legal Services – CPSB 06 (1 Post)
The position involves overseeing legal matters within the county government, offering legal guidance to departments, preparing legal opinions, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The role also entails supervising legal officers, managing litigation, and liaising with external legal entities to safeguard county interests.

2. Principal Legal Officer – CPSB 06 (1 Post)
This role entails providing high-level legal advice, preparing complex legal documents, representing the county in court and arbitration proceedings, and guiding policy formulation from a legal perspective. The officer will also manage the drafting and vetting of contracts, agreements, and other legal instruments.

3. Legal Clerk (Court Process Server) – CPSB 11 (1 Post)
The position involves serving court processes, assisting in the preparation of legal documents, maintaining court diaries, and ensuring timely filing of legal pleadings. The clerk will also support legal officers in the execution of their duties.

4. Deputy Director – Assets and Liabilities Management – CPSB 05 (1 Post)
This position entails overseeing the management of county assets and liabilities, developing asset management policies, maintaining updated asset registers, and ensuring efficient utilization of resources. The officer will also coordinate valuation, disposal, and reporting of assets.

5. Assets and Liabilities Management Officer II – CPSB 10 (3 Posts)
The officers will assist in maintaining and updating asset registers, conducting asset verification, preparing asset reports, and ensuring compliance with asset management guidelines.

6. Assets and Liabilities Management Officer III – CPSB 11 (2 Posts)
This position supports the implementation of asset and liability management policies, handles asset data entry, and assists in compiling asset inventory reports.

7. Director – Budget Services – CPSB 03 (1 Post)
The director will lead the county’s budget preparation process, coordinate with departments to consolidate budget estimates, and ensure alignment with county development priorities. The role involves monitoring budget implementation and advising on financial planning and policy.

8. Assistant Director – Budget Services – CPSB 05 (1 Post)
The assistant director will support the director in budget preparation, analysis, and monitoring. The role includes reviewing departmental budget submissions, preparing expenditure reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

9. Agricultural Engineering Technologist II – CPSB 08 (1 Post)
This position involves providing technical support in the design, construction, and maintenance of agricultural infrastructure such as irrigation systems, drainage, and farm machinery.

10. Geological II – CPSB 08 (1 Post)
The officer will carry out geological surveys, mapping, and data analysis to support development projects and sustainable use of natural resources.

11. Weights and Measures Assistant II – CPSB 11 (2 Posts)
The position entails inspecting and verifying weighing and measuring equipment, enforcing weights and measures regulations, and ensuring accuracy in trade measurements.

12. Tourism Officer II – CPSB 08 (1 Post)
The officer will promote tourism activities, develop tourism products, and engage stakeholders in enhancing the county’s tourism potential.

13. Inspector Water – CPSB 09 (1 Post)
This role involves monitoring water supply systems, inspecting water projects, ensuring compliance with water quality standards, and providing technical advice on water distribution.

14. Drilling Technician – CPSB 10 (1 Post)
The position entails operating drilling equipment, maintaining machinery, and supporting borehole development projects in the county.

15. Plant Operator III (RIG/TPU Operator) – CPSB 14 (4 Posts)
The operators will be responsible for operating heavy machinery such as drilling rigs and tractors, ensuring proper maintenance and adherence to safety procedures.

16. Enforcement Assistant III – CPSB 14 (215 Posts)
The enforcement assistants will enforce county laws, maintain public order, assist in revenue collection, and support security operations within the county.

17. The Audit Committee Chairperson – 1 Post
The chairperson will lead the audit committee in overseeing risk management, governance, and internal control processes. The role requires providing independent oversight on the county’s financial and compliance matters.

18. The Audit Committee Member – 3 Posts
The members will support the audit committee in reviewing internal audit reports, financial statements, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Method of Application
