The officer will be responsible for deterring, detecting, and reporting unlawful activities while maintaining a high-security presence in the institution. Key Responsibilities

  • Safeguarding the institution’s assets, including third-party property under JKUATES custody, in line with established protocols.
  • Supervising the safe movement of cash, goods, and other valuables within the institution.
  • Controlling and monitoring access points for both human and vehicular traffic entering JKUATES premises.
  • Conducting physical and electronic surveillance of designated areas.
  • Keeping detailed notes and accurate records of unusual occurrences.
  • Reporting suspicious incidents and activities to relevant authorities.
  • Conducting routine patrols of buildings and perimeter fences to ensure safety.
  • Operating CCTV and other approved surveillance technologies effectively.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • A minimum of KCSE Grade D+ (Plus).

Experience Requirements

  • At least five (5) years of experience in the disciplined forces.
  • Previous or current attachment to the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) security detail for at least three (3) years will be an added advantage.
