The Senior Programme Associate – Labour Mobility will provide direct technical and operational support to IOM’s labour mobility programmes in Kenya. Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of labour mobility projects, ensuring alignment with IOM policies and international standards.
- Facilitate communication between migrants, employers, and government agencies to ensure safe and orderly migration processes.
- Assist in preparing progress reports, presentations, and policy briefs for internal and external audiences.
- Monitor project activities and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Description
The Senior Programme Associate – Migrant Protection will focus on safeguarding the rights and welfare of migrants through targeted interventions in protection, psychosocial support, and case management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support protection programmes aimed at preventing exploitation, abuse, and trafficking of migrants.
- Coordinate with local authorities, NGOs, and service providers to strengthen referral pathways for vulnerable migrants.
- Manage case files, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to protection standards.
- Assist in the delivery of psychosocial support services and community-based protection initiatives.
- Prepare and update reports on migrant protection activities, highlighting achievements and challenges.

- Conduct research on financing instruments relevant to climate mobility, including climate funds, adaptation finance, and innovative financing models.

The Consultant will lead the development of an online application to support labour migration management in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Kenya. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs assessment with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection to determine system requirements.
- Design and develop an online application for labour migration management, ensuring user-friendliness, scalability, and data security.
- Provide technical documentation, including system design, workflow diagrams, and operational manuals.
- Coordinate testing, troubleshooting, and refinement of the application prior to rollout.
- Train ministry staff on system usage and provide technical support during the transition period.
