The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK), an umbrella organization for Protestant Churches and Christian Organizations registered in Kenya, is seeking to recruit a highly skilled, experienced, and results-oriented professional. Job Purpose:
To support community groups by providing guidance on financial literacy, savings, group organization, and leadership, while mentoring and monitoring the progress of project supported financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with communities and conduct workshops to promote financial literacy and improve household income.
- Train community members on budgeting, savings, and responsible financial practices.
- Collect and analyze data from VSLA groups to support planning and reporting.
- Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to improve access to financial services.
- Identify barriers to financial inclusion and support the development of practical remedies.
- Monitor progress, prepare reports, and contribute to work planning and implementation.
Key Qualifications/Skills/Competencies/Experience Required
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Cooperative Management, Finance, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- At least three years of proven experience in managing Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), Savings and Internal Lending Communities (SILC), Self-Help Groups, or similar roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in information and communication technology (ICT)
- Ability to operate a motorcycle with a valid riding license.
