ICT students will support systems development, network management, IT security, database administration, and user support. Telecommunication students will gain exposure to network operations, cabling, system troubleshooting, and related services.

Hospitality: Food & Beverage, Hotel Management, Housekeeping, and Laundry

Records Management, Archives, and Library & Information Science

Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural)

Engineering students will participate in infrastructure maintenance, project inspections, repairs, and installations. They will gain technical skills in designing, testing, and managing engineering projects within a large institution.

Land Economics, Property Management, and Quantity Survey

Placements in this discipline focus on valuation of property, asset management, land economics, and cost estimation. Students will engage in real estate management within institutional frameworks.

Actuarial Science

Actuarial students will gain hands-on experience in risk analysis, actuarial modeling, and use of statistical tools to assess financial and operational risks.

Transport, Logistics, and Fleet Management

Students will assist in vehicle scheduling, maintenance records, transport planning, and ensuring efficiency in logistics. They will learn how large organizations manage fleet operations.

Law

Law students will be exposed to legal drafting, compliance review, contract analysis, and litigation support. They will also learn about public sector governance and regulatory frameworks.

Education

Students in education may support training programmes, content development, and facilitation of capacity-building sessions.

Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry

This placement provides exposure to laboratory work, chemical analysis, quality assurance, and safety standards. Students will learn laboratory procedures and reporting of results.

Stenographers

Students specializing in stenography will provide secretarial and transcription support, learning shorthand and documentation processes essential for accurate reporting.


Programme Requirements

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Kenyan citizen aged between 18 and 35 years.
  • Be a continuing undergraduate student in their 3rd, 4th, or final year, or a diploma student in their final year from a recognized university or college.
  • Have a valid introduction letter from their institution of study.
  • Be available on a full-time basis for the entire three-month attachment period.

Successful candidates will also be required to provide proof of a valid Personal Accident Insurance Cover, a copy of their KRA PIN certificate, NHIF/SHIF details, NSSF number, national ID, and bank account information.


Application Process

Applicants are required to submit their applications online through the KRA e-recruitment portal. No manual applications will be accepted. The step-by-step process is outlined below:

  1. Registration
    • Visit the KRA e-recruitment portal at https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login.
    • Click on the ‘Register’ button to begin the application process.
    • Upon registration, an email will be sent to confirm the email address and complete the process.
  2. Log In
    • Once registered, log in with the provided username and password.
    • After logging in, the system will open the ‘Applicant Cockpit’.
  3. Candidate Profile
    • On the ‘Applicant Cockpit’ page, click on the ‘Candidate Profile’ tab.
    • Select ‘My Profile’ to create or update applicant details.
    • Complete all sections, then click ‘Overview and Release’.
    • Ensure the checkbox is ticked to confirm completion.
  4. Application Submission
    • On the ‘Applicant Cockpit’, go to the tab ‘Employment Opportunities’.
    • Under ‘Job Search’, click ‘Start’ to view available vacancies.
    • Select the Industrial Attachment posting to view full details.
    • Click the ‘Apply’ button and follow the on-screen instructions.
    • Complete all mandatory fields before clicking ‘Send Application Now’.
    • Accept the Data Privacy Statement to finalize submission.

Important Notes
